Autumn is always the season for best seafood. From this September to mid-October, Café Aficionado brings you a scrumptious seafood symphony to savour the freshness of the deep blue ocean.
As you step inside Café Aficionado, you will be greeted by a complimentary dish of Giant Prawn Gratin with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes. Even if you’re not a fan of wasabi, it is undeniable that the oven-baked prawn gratin goes so well with the slightly spicy mashed potatoes, it’s truly appetizing. The variety of entrées at Salad Bar is equally tempting! First of all, let the Indian-fused Marinated Prawns with Yoghurt Curry Dressing freshen up your palate, or have a taste of the sweet and sour Prawns and Avocado Cocktail with Cherry Tomato Vinaigrette, together with the refreshing Salad Nicoise and Seafood Terrine with Asparagus to give your appetite a boost.
Everyone knows there are lots of good things about eating deep sea fish. Its natural Omega-3 fats and fish oils can lower cholesterol and blood lipid, as well as giving your skin a natural glow. Salmon is the deep sea fish beloved by gourmets around the world. Chef has created variety of salmon delicacies, including Marinated Norwegian Salmon with Honey Dill Mustard Sauce, Ham Baked Salmon Puff Pastry, Apple Wood Smoked Salmon with Horseradish Cream and Pan-roasted Salmon Roll Stuffed with Baby Lobster in Saffron Sauce, and many more. All these undoubtedly showcase the allure of salmon.
If you are a fan of Japanese cuisine, try out the Tuna Tataki with Matsuhisa Dressing. The tuna filet is seared to medium rare while the inside is still moist and fresh, which matches perfectly with the Japanese-styled onion dressing. Miso Marinated Black Cod Filet with Teriyaki Sauce is another classic in Japanese cuisine. The black cod is like a sponge that absorbs all the delicate flavours of the miso, its heavenly taste and tenderness are simply unforgettable. Of course, who would miss the jet fresh Sashimi, Assorted Sushi and all sorts selected Chilled Seafood?
