According to the traditional Chinese dietary wisdom for health, it is believed certain type of food can help build up inner energy for the dry and chilly weather. Executive chef Ricky Kong of Regal Terrace – Regal Oriental Hotel designed a seasonal temptation – Thickened Snake Soup Menu - that can nourish your body at the same time satisfy your taste bud. Come indulge in the delicacies that both warm the stomach and the heart!
Our Chef had combined the secret snake soup recipe from late Qing dynasty with addition of highly nutritious Fish Maw to create this highly nourishing delicacy. Snake meat contains protein, collagen and calcium that can prevent many aging diseases; whilst Fish maws are considered as super anti-aging food that are popular among skincare lovers.
Another mouth-watering winter warmer is ‘Braised Lamb Brisket with Dried Bean Curd Sheet’. The softness of lamb brisket is successfully captured by the braised cooking method. And for a long time lamb is known to be one of the healthiest meat that can improve cardiovascular health as well as skin health.
On the menu Chef Kong had used seasonal hairy crab roes to combine with the traditional Shanghainese culinary - Steamed Pork Dumplings. Moving away from the traditional, Ricky has created ‘Baked Crab Shells Stuffed with Hairy Crab Roes and Cheese’, in which the flavours of hairy crab roes and cheese are harmoniously merged together.
