From starter, seafood to dessert, items on the buffet table are made of jet-fresh Italian ingredients. Salad and vegetable are refreshing for guests to start the bubbly morning. Green treats include Grilled Vegetable, Fennel Salad, Mozzarella Roll with Tomato and Pesto, Vegetable Terrine, etc. The restaurant offers different cooking methods of eggs to satisfy guests’ needs. Scramble egg, fried egg, omelette, poached egg and egg benedict are served at Alto 88. To allow guests enjoy a superb Italian culinary experience, Executive Italian Chef, Chef Giuseppe Brancati, specially picked Prosciutto Di Parma, which is considered as one of the best ham from Italy. The production process of salting and maturing of the ham is conscientious. The tenderness and its special flavour will give guests unexpected experience of tasting ham. Other Italian starters like Tuna Tartare, Cherry Tomato Stuffed with Tuna Mousse, and many other assorted cold cuts are bites guests cannot afford to miss.
To taste the freshness in an Italian morning, oyster is absolutely one of the must-try items at the buffet. Oysters from Brittany of France are particularly fresh. A very large proportion of French production of oyster is supplied by Brittany and oysters there are treated as renowned delicacies worldwide. The glittering grey and briny oyster, just a sprinkle of lemon juice is enough to satisfy any gourmand’s taste bud. After tasting the fabulous oysters, Alaskan Crab Leg is another Chef’s recommendation. Alaskan crabs are caught from deep sea. They are loaded with flavour and huge in size, texture is softer while firmer than other crab species. The quality and flavour of Alaskan crab legs are incomparable and will be enjoyed by everyone who treasure. Other freshest seafood including Scallop and Shrimp which are highly recommended by many who tried.
Home-made pasta of Alto 88 will always surprise guests with its unique flavour and excellent texture. To let guests savour as many choices as they can, pasta dishes will rotate on a regular basis by Giuseppe. Carbonara, Bolognese, Pesto Penne, Spicy Tomato Ravioli and Smoked Salmon Ravioli are some of the flavours which had received lots of favourable reviews in the past. Last but not least, a series of Italian desserts on the buffet table like the traditional Tiramisu and home-made Italian Gelato with flavours of pistachio, caramel, coffee, etc, are available for dessert lovers to add up to a sweet touch on holiday.
Perched on 31/F with breathtaking harbour and park view beyond, designing with a hint of purple with white colour based, together with grand European decoration, diners of Alto 88 can surely enjoy a stunning sea view and romantic atmosphere at the restaurant.

With more than 18 years’ experience crafting fantastic Italian cuisine, Giuseppe developed his cooking style in many renowned restaurants in Hong Kong as well as Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy. His recipes seek a distinctive taste balance as well as the use of premium ingredients. In 2012, he was awarded winner of the Best Risotto in Acquerello Risotto World Summit.
