Regal Hotels Launches Special Long-stay Program for Hospital Authority’s Overseas and Local Medical Staff

(23 January 2025, Hong Kong) Hong Kong has long faced a shortage of medical staff, prompting the Hospital Authority (HA) to actively recruit overseas healthcare professionals for public hospitals and institutions. Regal Hotels International recognises the housing needs of these overseas workers and is leveraging its extensive hotel network to launch the exclusive “Long-stay Accommodation Program” for HA’s overseas and local medical staff. This initiative aims to attract more qualified healthcare professionals to Hong Kong by alleviating their accommodation burdens, demonstrating the Group’s support for healthcare workers and gratitude for their contributions to public health.
The “Long-stay Accommodation Program” includes seven properties under Regal Hotels: Regal Airport Hotel, Regal Hongkong Hotel, Regal Oriental Hotel, Regal Riverside Hotel, Regala Skycity Hotel, iclub Sheung Wan Hotel and iclub Sheung Wan AMTD Hotel. These hotels are strategically located throughout Hong Kong, featuring excellent transportation networks that allow HA employees to save on commuting time. By staying for a minimum of 30 consecutive nights, HA employees can enjoy discounted room rates starting at just HKD 500 per night. The program also includes services such as room cleaning, free WiFi and self-service laundry facilities. Regal Hotels hopes this program will provide HA staff with comfortable and cost-effective lodging, relieving their financial pressures and enhancing Hong Kong’s appeal to overseas professionals in the global healthcare sector.
