Mr. Frederick Wong Kan-fai joined Regal Hotels International in 2025, current role as Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Wong is a seasoned hotelier with over 30 years of extensive experience in hotel management across the Asia Pacific and China, including more than 10 years in various corporate roles. Prior to joining us, he held key senior management positions at Hyatt International Asia Pacific, including ASPAC sales and revenue, commercial and operational functions in Greater China. He possesses a strong background in the hotel industry, with direct responsibility for General Managers, driving brand standards, optimising revenue, cost management, and spearheading operational strategies. Additionally, Mr. Wong spent two years with MTR Property Management, where he played a pivotal role in the Kowloon Station and LOHAS Park projects.

In his current role, Mr. Wong is responsible for supervising all Hotel General Managers while overseeing the operational functions of Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and the Regional Office in China. His leadership will focus on driving profitability through cost control, service and product quality enhancement, organisational management, and digital transformation.

Mr. Wong holds a Master’s degree in International Marketing from Macquarie University, Australia, and is a graduate of Les Roches in Switzerland.

 

Mr. Watson Lai Ching-kwok brings over forty years of experience in the hospitality industry, having held senior positions at several esteemed hotel groups in mainland China and Hong Kong, including InterContinental Hotels Group, Great Eagle Group, and Langham Hospitality Group. He possesses extensive industry knowledge in food quality and operational management.

As the Vice President - Food & Beverage at Regal Hotels, Mr. Lai oversees the management for more than 40 restaurants across all Regal Hotels in Hong Kong, with a strong emphasis on banquet and event planning. Leveraging his robust professional expertise, he leads his team to provide exquisite cuisine and exceptional service, striving to create extraordinary dining and meeting experiences for every guest.

Mr. Lai is dedicated to enhancing food quality and optimizing service standards in alignment with Regal Hotels’ vision for sustainability development. He emphasizes the importance of local sourcing and ingredient quality to enhance and solidify the company’s reputation within the industry.

Mr. Eddie Lam Chi-yuen joined Regal Hotels International in 2025 as Vice President – Engineering.

Mr. Lam is a veteran engineer with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has worked with prominent hotel chains such as Jumeirah, Rosewood, and Le Méridien. Prior to joining us, Mr. Lam gained extensive experience leading the engineering operations teams for a portfolio of hotels and managed numerous new build and renovation projects in China, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

In his role as Vice President – Engineering, Mr. Lam will play a pivotal role in leading all aspects of the Engineering function to facilitate alignment with the organisation's broader goals and objectives.

Mr. Jim Chan Fu-kui, joined Regal Hotels International in 2026 as the Vice President - Human Resources.

Mr. Chan is a seasoned human resources professional with over 25 years of extensive experience as an HR Generalist. He began his career as a management trainee with Maxim’s Group and has held important positions at various well-known companies. His distinguished resume includes Epicurean Group, Convenience Retail Asia, Hui Lau Shan, Tai Hing, and Kee Wah. Mr. Chan is recognised for successfully driving significant cost benefits while maintaining the highest standards of team performance. He has worked closely with all business units to optimise operational processes, enhance team collaboration, and deliver notable improvements in efficiency.

In his current role, Mr. Chan is responsible for upholding Regal’s renowned quality service standards through comprehensive training programmes, strategic talent acquisition, and measures to attract and retain top industry professionals. Concurrently, he focuses on building high-performing teams and fostering inclusive workplace cultures with a people-first philosophy.

Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor (Honors) degree in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

Mr. Christopher Cheng Kan-lok joined Regal Hotels International in 2024 as Assistant Vice President – Finance.

With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in accounting, including 14 years in hotel finance and operations, Mr. Cheng has established a robust foundation for his role as the Head of Finance for the Group.

Mr. Cheng earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His professional journey began with six years at prominent accounting firms, including Deloitte. He then transitioned to the hospitality sector, joining prestigious international hotel groups such as The Peninsula Hotels and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Throughout his tenure in the hotel industry, Mr. Cheng has been instrumental in driving financial efficiency and operational effectiveness, earning widespread recognition.

In his current role, Mr. Cheng oversees the entire finance function of the Group. His responsibilities include financial planning and management, enhancing innovative and effective financial systems and controls, strengthening risk assessment and compliance processes, and developing Finance Executives across the hotel portfolio.
